Love is in the air good people! Many of us either love or hate Valentine’s Day. It’s either cliche to one or romantic to another. Some of us go all out with gifts, cards, dinner, getaways and the rest may overindulge in chocolate, ice cream, take out and pajama pants. Whether you are single, dating, married , divorced or widowed, the subject of love is truly what is important. It is what Valentines Day should truly be about. Heck, it should be what everyday is about. If you’re reading this, it’s confirmation that God loves you and wants to be your forever divine Valentine.
Roman 8:38 says," For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
From that verse, we learn God’s love is everlasting. Nothing can be done to stop Gods love. Not even the things we do or the mistakes we make. His love extends past one day and covers each day he allows us to be here.
Maybe you question if God really loves you because of the pain, trials, and trauma you have experienced or are going through right now. You could be thinking, “God can’t love me after what I have done”. I’m here to tell you that, God still loves you and never stopped loving you! People have left you and threw you away but God hasn’t. People have told they loved you and showed you the complete opposite. God didn't Need proof? Okay…Here’s are a few ways God shows us he loves us:
God provides for us - Philippians 4:19
God heals us-Exodus 15:16
God protects us- 2 Thessalonians 3:3
God is always with us: Deuteronomy 31:6
God listens to us: Jeremiah 29:12-13
God comforts us- 2 Corinthians 1:3
God restores us- Deuteronomy 30:3-10
God guides us- Isaiah 58:11
God saves us- John 3:16
I hope this has set the record straight. The enemy would have you to belief the lie that God doesn't love and could care less what happens to you. That couldn't be further from the truth. God is love and has so much to give to us. We have to choose to accept the love that is for us. Don’t leave him hanging. Accept his unconditional love today. Whatever your plans are today, find the time to acknowledge the Divine Valentine!
