Are You Living or Existing?

Deep, right? I know its kind of a loaded question and a lot to unpack there. Follow me on this. I can remember watching a movie that posed this question and I thought nothing of it. However, it seems various life events have brought me back to take closer look. You see, most of us are operating on auto-pilot. You awaken to a life that is dull, incomplete, and predictable. Tell me if this sounds familiar. The alarm clock goes off in the morning and the option to snooze or stop comes up. You pick snooze and sleep in for a few minutes longer or you really go for it and oversleep. You finally get out of bed sluggishly or in a complete panic and rush. You think, “ I really don’t want to go to work today”. You persist and muster up enough energy to get dressed, skip breakfast, and prepare for travel to your home

office or work office. You go throughout your day aimlessly waiting for it to end. At the end of your the day, you dread what awaits you tomorrow. You guessed it, the same happens tomorrow and the next and next day. You complain but nothing changes, not do you put forth action to change things. Pretty soon, your days blend together, and you can even remember what day of the week it is. I think we all can relate to this at some point in our lives. This what we call existing! The great news is this is not how your life has to be. For those of us that are bold enough, others are choosing to practice self -awareness and mindfulness in life. This person has chosen to live a life of abundance, freedom, joy, peace, wonder and adventure.

Each moment is treated as a gift and not a waste of time. You enjoy the present as well as look forward to the future. You have faith that is rooted in what is possible and not impossible. Fear, complacency, and You are waking with excitement because you are thrilled to do what you do. You know that you are for are here bigger purpose. You are not only living but living out your purpose. God’s unique and divine purpose. If you are here, you want to know what you are living for. You must first ask yourself: Am I truly living at all or just existing?
