The other day I posted a quote that read: “ The old you had to die in order for the new you to be born! To me and a handful of my close friends this was profound. I felt this on a deep level. My prayer lately has been, God I just want to be who you have called me to be. It was an instant epiphany or realization that who I am and who God wants me to be could not coexist; the old and me and the new me.
So I spent sometime reflecting on what the old me looks like. Let me tell you, it ain’t pretty! Show me someone who has a pretty past. The old me was unmotivated, insecure, procrastinating, afraid, all talk no action, inconsistent, insecure, prideful, and I could go on. If you could change the old you what would you change. What if I told you, there is a way you can step into the new and improved you?
It’s okay if the old you is present today or even tomorrow. The old you is a state of mind that can be changed. The old you says you can’t, the new says you can. Prove that old version of yourself wrong. When a situation or person tries to remind you of the “Old You”, tell them they have the person that they are trying to reach is no longer in service!!!!
