Today I spent some time praying and meditating with God. During that time, God began to speak to me. I don’t know about you, but I always look forward to and love when he talks to me. Call me crazy, but I don’t care. As he talked to me, He revealed his plan and motivated me to keep going. I couldn’t help but think about my plan and how different His plan for me was.
How small are our plans compared to God’s plans? Here’s a hint: very small. For a long time I had a plan for my life that included when I would get married, how many children I would have, and what my career would look like. God was Kayne and I was Taylor Swift. HA. He was like "that's cute and all but ,lemme do my thang!" I couldn’t be happier. Have things totally gone the way that I expected? No but that is kind of the point! Over time I have learned that it was always a reason and a bigger picture at play. Lately, If I could describe my life in one word or phrase, it would be PLOTTWIST. God is definitely shaking things up to ensure His plan prevails.
So if you are like me and you have big plans or dreams for your life and doing everything. Maybe you are checking things of your list of plans. Here’s what might help you ensure you are following Yahweh and not your own way:
-ASK GOD IF YOUR PLANS ALIGN WITH HIS PLANS
-BE PATIENT AND OPEN TO HIS ANSWER
-EXPECT A FEW TWISTS & TURNS
-TRUST THAT HIS PLAN IS BETTER THAN YOUR PLAN
You do these things and you will be on the right path. If you ever need a reminder, here is one. “We humans keep brainstorming options and plans, but God’s purpose prevails.” (Proverbs 19:21). Bonus: “Mortals make elaborate plans, but God has the last word." (Proverbs 16:1) Let him put the stamp of approval on the moves you make and watch the blessings flow.
